Govt starting work on 672 MW power project
The project will be completed within 30 months.
The Sindh Government is starting a project under a Public Private Partnership initiative to produce 672 megawatts of electricity from 2 thousand tons of garbage of Karachi to help reduce the power shortage in the country and the province.
In this regard an official of the Power Department told our Karachi representative that the project will be a joint venture of Sindh Government and US based Princeton Environment Group that will execute the project. The cost of the project will be borne 20 percent by Sindh Government and 80 percent by executing organization.
The sources said that the feasibility report of the project has been prepared and after preparation of proper action plan the project will be executed and will complete within 30 months.
