Govt committed to reduce child-maternal mortality rate: Saira
Health Minister says government has ensured uninterrupted supply of vaccine for six million children against nine preventable diseases.
Minister of State for National Health Services Saira Afzal Tarrar has said the government is fully committed to minimize child-maternal mortality rate in the country.
She was addressing women and child health conference organized by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University in Islamabad.
The Minister said Federal Government has ensured uninterrupted supply of vaccine for six million children against nine preventable diseases.
Similarly, vaccine is also being provided for over six million mothers to protect them against the deadly disease of tetanus.
