All-out efforts being made to make railways safe, comfortable: Saad
Pakistan Railways will soon start work on up-gradation of railway stations
Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq has said all-out efforts are being made to make the railway journey safe, swift and comfortable and for this purpose; necessary facilities are being provided at the platforms.
He stated this while presiding over a high level meeting at the Pakistan Railways Headquarters in Lahore regarding the up-gradation of the platforms with the cooperation of the NESPAK.
The Minister advised the officials to make satisfactory arrangements for providing clean drinking water, benches and chairs, lavatories, wheelchairs and proper lights for the passengers at the platforms.
It was decided that in first phase, the up-gradation work will be started on five railway station including Sahiwal, Nankana Sahib, Narowal, Okara and Hassanabdal.
