Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said all democratic forces of the country are united against the nefarious designs of anti-state elements to derail democracy.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad this afternoon, he said sit-ins staged by Pakistan Awami Tehreek and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf have badly failed.  He said 'Plan A' of Imran Khan was an attack on democracy, 'plan B' was aimed to create panic and scare in major cities,  'plan C to create anarchy, while 'Plan D' is aimed at destroying the entire country.

Pervaiz Rashid said majority of the people of Faisalabad have rejected the shutdown call given by Imran Khan. He said civil society, traders and businessmen had expressed serious reservations over PTI's unconstitutional call of shutting down the city.

He said Imran Khan is inciting the people to violence. He said 'Goonda' elements of PTI sought to forcibly close down many schools in Faisalabad, but were failed.

Pervaiz Rashid said Imran Khan asked his workers to go on rampage and scuffle with police in Faisalabad. He said Imran Khan should accept that people of Faisalabad paid no heed to his call of shutting down.

The Minister urged Imran Khan to instruct his workers to remain peaceful, who are undisciplined. The minister called upon Imran Khan to shun the politics of violence and exercise mature politics.

Information Minister said PTI can catch fire out of its own inferno. He said when democratic forces were rendering great sacrifices Imran was enjoying cricket. The Minister said Imran Khan is reaping fruits of democracy, which we have restored after great struggle.

Pervaiz Rashid said Imran Khan is keeping his children at safer abode, but spoiling the lives of children of Pakistan. He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif even went to hospital to see Imran Khan and then to his residence in Islamabad, which shows government's fairs intentions. 

To a question, Pervaiz Rashid said the government is ready to resume the stalled dialogue process with PTI to resolve the politics crisis. He appealed Imran Khan not to indulge in politics of dead bodies and have mercy on the masses.

Information Minister said the government has exercised utmost tolerance in PTI's case and it patience should not be misunderstood as its weakness.  

The Minister said the Government and PML-N express deep grief and sorrow over Faisalabad firing incident resulting in killing of one person. He added the culprits will be brought to book.

Earlier, in a statement, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Parvez Rasheed has said that nefarious designs of Imran Khan have disclosed now.

He said Imran Khan is staying at his Bani Gala villa (Islamabad) and has allowed workers to create disturbance in Faisalabad.

He said PTI has always violated agreement in staging its protest.

He said police has been kept unarmed.
