Pakistan's permanent representative to the UN Maleeha Lodhi says Pakistan has always been among the world's leading troops contributing countries to the UN peacekeeping missions.

Speaking to two groups of Pakistani students who visited the Pakistan Mission to the UN in New York, she said Pakistan's contributions to the peacekeeping missions have earned it respect and influence in the world.

She said Pakistan's longstanding contribution to the UN peacekeeping reflects the country's commitment to maintaining international peace and security.

Maleeha Lodhi said raising voice for issues like Jammu and Kashmir, counter-terrorism, international peace and security, Security Council's reform and Afghanistan in the UN are among top priorities of the Mission.
