PM summons National Security Conference on Saturday
Special Assistant to PM, Irfan Siddique has said Zarb-e-Azb is the only agenda of conference.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has summoned National Security Conference in Islamabad on Saturday.
It will be attended by the four chief ministers, federal ministers, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and Director General ISI.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Irfan Siddique has said that Zarb-e-Azb is the only agenda of the National Security Conference and it would not discuss political situation.
In a statement he said the prevailing political situation has nothing to do with the conference.
He said senior military leadership will brief the participants about progress and achievements of Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
Irfan Siddiqui said the decision to convene the conference was taken a month back. The Prime Minister had made an announcement about briefing on Zarb-e-Azb in the National Assembly.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said the government will resolve all political issues through dialogue and parliamentary discussion.
Talking to MQM Chief Altaf Hussain on telephone, he appreciated the role of MQM for upholding supremacy of democracy and the parliament.
Ishaq Dar invited MQM to participate in the National Security Conference tomorrow in which all parliamentary leaders have been invited.
