A meeting to review performance of official media departments was held with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan in Lahore.

Punjab Minister for Information and Culture, Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan and senior officials also attended the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, Firdous Ashiq Awan directed Radio Pakistan, PTV and APP to work with complete coordination and project soft image of the PTI government before the people.

She advised them to highlight the agenda of development and welfare initiated by the PTI government.

Firdous Ashiq Awan said the social media can play the role of a bridge between the government and the masses, and the today's rapidly changing world has increased its importance.

She said the Prime Minister is very eager that federal and Punjab governments should evolve a comprehensive policy about the use of the social media as an effective medium of public welfare.

She directed the official media to fully utilize social media for good governance.

Speaking on the occasion, Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan said that the Punjab Advisory Council will be constituted for the management of the media.

He said social media convention will be held in Lahore very soon.
