Greenpeace India has said that the claim of Delhi government about a 25 per cent reduction in air pollution levels over the past few years is not true.

According to the analysis of the Non-Governmental Organization, air quality monitoring, satellite data and increasing fossil fuel consumption in Delhi and adjoining states contradict the government's claims.

It says that the Central Pollution Control Board also shows higher particulate levels in 2018 compared to previous years.

In government advertisements, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been claiming that levels of particulate matters equal to smaller than 2.5 microns have reduced to 25 per cent.
