The 47th death anniversary of renowned Urdu, Punjabi and Pothari poet Muhammad Afzal Siddique commonly known as Baqi Siddiqui is being observed on Tuesday.
He was born on 20th December in 1908 at Saham village in Rawalpindi.
After completion of his matriculation, he worked as a teacher in a local madrassa.
He also associated with the Radio Pakistan, Rawalpindi and wrote many songs in Potohari language.
He died at the age of sixty-three and buried in Rawalpindi.
