Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says linking Pakistan with Central Asian Republics (CARs) through a quality road network is priority of the government.

Talking to President-designate of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank Jin Liqun in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said Gwadar is also being up-graded as a modern seaport for access to the Central Asian Republics.

He said the government has invested a lot of resources in energy and infrastructure projects with help of China.

He highlighted the government's economic policies and said that the economic mangers are committed to provide conducive environment to the private sector.

Jin Liqun said AIIB will assist Pakistan in infrastructure projects and other economically productive projects in cost efficient and effective manner.
