Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal that he had provided CPEC related documents to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak at the All Parties Conference and is ready to visit Peshawar again to clear any point in this regard. Gawadar-Quetta Road will be completed by next month, ahead of its scheduled time. Work on Dera Ismail Khan-Quetta Road has also been initiated while the Dera Ismail Khan-Burhan Road will be completed by year 2018. CPEC will bring prosperity to the backward and far off areas of country.
Pakistan’s contribution to several projects in Sri Lanka reflects the desire of the people
The High Commissioner of Pakistan in Sri Lanka Syed Shakeel Hussain visited Northern Province of Sri Lanka to review the progress on Pakistani funded Housing Project consisting of 230 houses for war affected families of District Mannar. Sri Lankan Minister for Commerce and Industry, Rishad Bathiudeen was also present on the occasion.
Tea imports up by 10.8% in first quarter
The tea imports into the country increased by 10.79 percent during the first quarter of the current fiscal year compared to the corresponding period of last year. The tea imports into the country were recorded at $134.448 million during July-September (2016-17) compared to the imports of $121.355 during July-September (2015-16), showing growth of 10.79 percent, according to the data of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
