In Occupied Kashmir , senior Hurriyet leaders have said that the Million March will be conducted in Srinagar today despite imposition of restrictions by the authorities.

Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Shabbir Ahmed Shah and Muhammad Yasin Malik, who have been detained in their houses or police stations in their statements have urged the people to massively converge at the TRC ground to give a message to India and the world community that they reject India’s illegal hold on their homeland.

Call for the Million March has been given by Syed Ali Gilani and supported by other pro-freedom leaders and organisations to protest against the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s visit to the Kashmir Valley.

The authorities have detained over 2,000 people including all Hurriyet leaders and activists to stop them from leading the march. The occupation authorities have deployed Indian troops and police personnel in strength in Srinagar and other towns, on the eve of Narendra Modi’s visit.
