The Government has taken a number of steps to cope with the emerging healthcare demands across the country.
According to official sources, the federal Government is assisting the provinces in resource generation and technical matters through various health development partners.
In this connection, National Immunization Support Program will strengthen and improve Immunization coverage by providing technical and material support to the provinces for upgradation of Warehouses and cold chain management.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister's National Health Program is focussing on improvement of the healthcare of population below poverty line, benefitting a total of a hundred million population.
A real time management information system for joint monitoring has been initially started in fifteen districts covering 3.1 million families.
Twenty-one new-born care units have been established in high priority districts across the country.
