CM vows to eradicate spurious medicines from province
Shahbaz Sharif says modern and foolproof system is being introduced for procurement, supply and distribution of medicines.
Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has reaffirmed his commitment to completely eradicate spurious medicines from the province.
Chairing a high level meeting in Lahore on Sunday, he said that a modern and foolproof system is being introduced for the procurement, supply and distribution of medicines.
The Chief Minister said that two hundred and seventy-six samples of medicines are being sent to the laboratories in South Africa, Switzerland, Singapore, Thailand and Turkey for their analysis.
He announced a cash award of one million rupees to anyone giving correct and timely information about the units producing spurious medicine.
Shahbaz Sharif also directed for evolving an effective plan for the proper disposal of the hospitals' waste.
