Asian Development Bank will establish a trust fund to foster integration of high-level technology and innovative solutions in its projects in Asia and the Pacific.

This was stated by Japan’s Deputy Prime Minister Taro Aso during the opening session of the 50th Annual Meeting of ADB’s Board of Governors at Yokohama on Sunday.

He said Japan will be the first donor to the fund by contributing forty million dollars for ADB-financed and administered sovereign and non-sovereign projects.

He said enhancing the quality of infrastructure is important in realizing sustainable economic growth.
