Saudi Arabia has announced a five-day ceasefire in Yemen 's war to facilitate aid to civilians.
The announcement was made by Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir at a news conference with US Secretary of State John Kerry in Riyadh on Thursday.
He expressed the hope that the Houthi rebels will also halt their attacks on the ground.
Aid groups say millions of Yemenis are in need of food, fuel and medicine.
