Senate Defence Committee chief says Kashmir settlement to promote nuclear non-proliferation, and arms control in region.
Chairman Senate Defence Committee Mushahid Hussain Syed says peace in the South Asia will remain volatile if Kashmir issue is not resolved.
Addressing a seminar in Islamabad, he said Kashmir settlement would promote nuclear non-proliferation, disarmament and arms control in the region. He urged Western powers to shun double standards on nuclear issue and treat India and Pakistan at par.
About Indo-US Nuclear Deal, he said it has disastrous consequences for the region.
