Hundreds of Sikhs rallied outside UN Headquarters, raising pro-Khalistan slogans.
Sikhs have asked United Nations to set up a tribunal to investigate brutalities perpetrated by the Indian Army on the community during its attack on the Golden Temple in 1984.
Marking the 33rd year of the incident, hundreds of Sikhs rallied outside the UN Headquarters holding placards and raising pro-Khalistan slogans.
A rights group Sikhs for Justice said it has submitted a memorandum to UN calling for the setting up of the tribunal.
A rally was organized by Gurdwara Sikh Cultural Society, New York, Shiromani Akali Dal, Sikh Youth of America, and Sikhs for Justice.
