Anti-India protests held in Occupied Kashmir
In Occupied Kashmir, anti-India protests, marked by shutdown and clashes, were held today against the killing of a student, Aadil Faroor Magray by Indian troops in Shopian.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian troops used brute force and fired teargas shells on the protesters, mainly students, in Pampore, Tral, Pulwama and Handwara areas whereas Shopian witnessed complete shutdown against the killing of the youth. Mobile Internet services that were restored four days ago were again suspended in the territory.
Meanwhile, thousands of people participated in the funeral of Aadil Farooq Magray in Ganowpora in Shopian. The joint resistance leadership in a statement called for shutdown and peaceful protests across the Kashmir Valley on Friday against the brutal killing of Aadil Farooq Magray.
Chairman All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, Dukhtaran-e-Millat and High Court Bar Association of occupied Kashmir strongly condemned the coercive raids conducted by Indian National Investigation Agency on the residences and offices of Hurriyet leaders and activists.
On the other hand, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred one more Kashmiri youth in Kupwara district today.
