Yasin Malik asks court why police tortured him, family
In occupied Kashmir, a TADA Court in Srinagar has remanded the illegally detained Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Muhammad Yasin Malik to custody till June 11.
In a statement in Srinagar, a JKLF spokesman said Yasin Malik pleaded his case in the court himself and raised various questions about a murderous attack was carried out by police on him, his family and his locality and police and Special Operation Group personnel raids his house tortured his old mother, ailing sister and other elders in Maisuma area of Srinagar.
On the other hand, the authorities have shifted the illegally detained Hurriyet leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Political Party (PPP), Hilal Ahmed War, from Kothi Bagh Police Station to Srinagar Central Jail.
Meanwhile, the illegally detained Chief Organizer of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Altaf Ahmad Shah, was shifted to a hospital after his health deteriorated at a police post in Bemina area of Srinagar.
