No power can sabotage CPEC project: Chaudhary

Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar has said some countries are opposed to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) but no power in the world can stop this project from materializing. This he said while speaking to journalists after inaugurating the Islamabad Safe City Project in Sector H-11. He said CPEC is no longer a dream but is turning into a reality. Both China and Pakistan are long standing friends and their destinies are intertwined. Islamabad Safe City project costing 126 million rupees the first of its kind was need of the hour. It will serve as a role model for other parts of the countries and will be replicated in other cities.

Maj. Gen. (Retd.) Farooq Malik:

“China Pakistan Economic Corridor will play a vital role in improving the economy and enhancing our share of exports. Many countries are not pleased over this project because they do not want to see Pakistan’s economy improving. India can also become a beneficiary of this project, but due to its anti-Pakistan attitude, New Delhi is not willing to become part of CPEC. Gawadar Port, after completion, will make Pakistan a trade hub of South Asia. India has recently signed an agreement to develop Chahbahar Port of Iran. However, it is a fact that Chahbahar has no comparison with Gawadar due to the latter’s strategic location.”

Dr. Shaheen Akhtar (Senior Analyst):

“China Pakistan Economic Corridor will link Afghanistan and Iran and will support in regional connectivity. This mega project is going to benefit all the countries of the region. Indian government is always working on anti-Pakistan agenda and is making all out efforts to sabotage this project. India is well aware of the fact that this project will change the destiny of Pakistan. India should stop its hostility towards Pakistan and reciprocate to peace gestures of Islamabad.”

Mirza Ikhtiyar Baig (Economist):

“Gwadar port is under construction and after completion it will be among the busiest ports in the world. It will serve as a gateway to Central Asian countries for trade. It is a game changer project that will bring an economic revolution in the country. Unemployment will definitely reduce as many job opportunities will be created through CPEC. Present government is taking keen interest and making efforts for the timely completion of all the development projects under China Pakistan Economic Corridor.”
