11 killed in Afghanistan clashes
In Afghanistan, 11 persons have been killed in clashes between government forces and insurgents in northern Faryab province.
According to Afghan officials, the clash started in Qaisar district of the province after a group of insurgents attacked security check posts in the area. The security forces killed seven attackers in retaliatory fire.
Meanwhile, four university students were killed when they were trapped in the fighting between the troops and insurgents.
