US asks India to take steps to improve ties with neighbours

The United States has asked New Delhi to take steps to improve relationships with its South Asian neighbours.
This was stated by State Department spokesperson Marie Harf while replying to a question at a briefing in Washington in the backdrop of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.
She said the US has relationships with India and Pakistan, as they are vital to its strategic interests.
