Complete shutdown observed in Pulwama
In Occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed on Thursday in Pulwama and Shopian districts to mourn the killings of two Kashmiri youth.
The troops killed Naseer Ahmad Pandit and Waseem Ahmad Malla during a siege and search operation in Vihil village of Shopian.
The killings triggered forceful anti-India protest demonstrations in Shopian and Pulwama districts.
High-pitched pro-Pakistan, pro-freedom and anti-India slogans were raised, while Pakistani flags were hoisted on vehicles in funeral processions.
Over seventy thousand people participated in funerals of the martyred youth.
The APHC at its Executive Council meeting, presided over by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in Srinagar said that political stability in South Asia would continue to remain a distant dream unless settlement of Kashmir dispute as per the Kashmiris’ aspirations.
