Steps taken to bring economy back on track: Dar
Finance Minister says peace and security would ultimately benefit the national economy.
Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar has said the government has taken measures to set the economy on right track.
He was talking to the Resident Representative of International Monetary Fund (IMF) for Pakistan, Tokhir Mirzoev in Islamabad on Tuesday.
He said these measures for re-engagement with international financial institutions and welfare of people.
The Finance Minister also exchanged views with him on the current profile of Pakistan's economy and the forthcoming 7th IMF review.
Ishaq Dar said he is looking forward to the 7th review with full confidence as Pakistan had fulfilled all its obligations and stabilized economy.
He also made special mention of Pakistan's continued struggle for elimination of terrorism and said peace and security would ultimately benefit the economy.
