PARC decides to revive tea cultivation in AJK
Board meeting informed that scientists are working to improve quality of tea.
Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) has decided to revive tea cultivation projects in Azad Kashmir.
The decision was taken at the Board meeting of the Council in Islamabad on Tuesday, chaired by Minister for National Food Security and Research Sikandar Hayat Bosan.
The meeting was informed that so far the green tea cultivation has been very successful and scientists are working to improve the quality and taste of the black tea.
The board also approved conferment of "Scientist of the Year" award to the best performing scientists and Technology Award to those introducing new technologies.
