India's BJP accused of 'intrusion' in neighboring countries through political, religious and ideological means: Global Times

An international chinese daily the Global Times has revealed that India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has ambitious plans to expand the party into neighboring Nepal and Sri Lanka.

In an article, the paper writes that BJP's national president Amit Shah has ambitions to influence governments in these countries by establishing branches of the BJP there to take part in elections.

Talking to the Global Times, a Nepalese journalist said that the RSS created another sister group called Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh in Nepal in 1990s which is covertly working as BJP's political tools.

The locals also told the paper that another organization, sponsored by India's RSS, Shiv Sena has branches in multiple Nepalese cities and provides training to the Nepali youths.

Meanwhile, the paper writes Chairman Sri Lanka's Election Commission has also opposed plans to expand the BJP's footprint in Sri Lanka soon after the announcement.
