Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has reiterated Pakistan's stance to play its positive role in bringing peace to the region through measures agreed upon by all relevant stakeholders.


Talking to media in Washington, he said Pakistan seeks recognition of its legitimate security concerns in the region.


The Minister said Pakistan greatly values its relationship with the United States.


He said both countries can continue to work together for the common goal of peace, stability and prosperity in South Asia.


Khawaja Asif said Pakistan is extremely concerned about safe havens of  terrorists in Afghanistan.


He said  our armed forces have done extremely well in counter terrorism operations and no other country can match Pakistan's commitment and success.


The Minister also highlighted enormous investment opportunities in Pakistan particularly after significant achievements in war against terror.



Air Chief Sohail Aman has said that security forces have successfully eliminated terrorists from the country.


Addressing a function at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar, he said enemy is using terrorists as tool to keep the Pakistani nation backward but they will never succeed in their evil designs.


 Air Chief said after production of JF-17 Thunder, we now intend to produce the fifth generation fighter plane.



Minister for Commerce Muhammad Pervez Malik has said that the problems of the industrialists and exporters will be resolved on priority basis.


In a meeting at Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Karachi, he said concrete steps taken by the government improved the economy and put Pakistan on the path of progress and development.


The president of FPCCI Zubair Khaliq in his remarks said reduction in electricity and gas tariff to the industrial sector will help enhance country's exports substantially.



Minister for Communication Hafiz Abdul Karim has said that Lahore-Multan Motorway will become operational by the end of April next year.


Speaking during inspection of work on the  project, he expressed his satisfaction and said that  thirteen motorway projects are under construction.


The Minister said that Sukkur, Multan, Havalian and Thahkot motorways are also being constructed under CPEC projects.



Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique has said that Pakistan Railways is introducing a system to overcome train accidents.


Addressing a meeting in Lahore, he said Train Approaching Warning System at all level crossings across the country and Train Collision Avoiding System in locomotives are being installed on experimental basis.


Earlier, it was informed at a briefing that 5-model systems would be installed by the first week of December.



Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai says development projects in Balochistan under China Pakistan Economic Corridor will make people of the province prosperous.

The meeting of  World Health Organization Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean will be held in Islamabad on Monday.

China's flag carrier airline Air China has announced to increase its flights for Pakistan on the Beijing-Islamabad-Karachi route.


Air line has decided to operate seven flight in a week from 29th of this month.


Ministerial Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy Zhao Lijian in Islamabad said that the development of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has provided a good opportunity for Air China to extend its business in Pakistan.



Kashmir Council European Union will launch a week long programme on Kashmir at European Parliament in Brussels from Monday.


Addressing a news conference in Islamabad  Chairman Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed said that different programmes including an International conference, seminars. debates and a photos and handicraft exhibition have been chalked out.


He said that creating awareness about the large scale human rights violations in occupied Kashmir is main objective of the programmes.



AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan will leave for a visit of European countries on Friday.  


During this visit, he will highlight Kashmir issue in United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Italy and other countries.



Saudi Arabia and Russia have signed a number of economic and military agreements.


The agreements were inked after the meeting between Saudi-King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Russian President Vladimir Putin  in Moscow.


They also agreed to set up joint Saudi-Russia Investment Fund worth one billion dollars.


Agreements on joint military cooperation and purchase of Russian missile defense platforms by Saudi Arabia were also signed.


Speaking on this occasion, Saudi King said that the kingdom wants to intensify efforts to combat extremism and terrorism and drain its sources of funding.



In Turkey, five terrorists have been killed in air strikes by the security forces in Refahiye district of Erzincan province.


The airstrikes also destroyed camps and ammunition depots in  northern Iraq’s Metina region.



Bangladesh has planned to chop down forest trees to extend a tent city sheltering destitute Rohingya refugees fleeing violence in Myanmar.


Secretary disaster management, Mohammad Shah Kamal said in Dhaka that the government has allocated two thousand acres to accommodate four hundred thousand refugees.



The United Nations has expressed deep concern over killing and recruitment of large number of children in conflicts and wars across the world.


The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in a statement in New York said that more than eight thousand children were killed in conflicts across the world last year.
