Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has said that nomination form regarding under oath declaration of candidates over finality of the Prophethood has been restored to its previous status.

He was addressing a news conference flanked with Law Minister Zahid Hamid and Special Assistant to Prime Minister Barrister Zafarullah in Islamabad on Friday evening.

Ahsan Iqbal said now the controversy over this issue should end.

He said some elements are making baseless propaganda on the social media for their vested interests.

He urged Ulema and general public to play their due role in spreading Islam's message of peace and love.

Speaking on the occasion, Law Minister Zahid Hamid said that every Muslim is a firm believer in the finality of the Prophethood. He said that the election reforms bill was finalized in consultation with all the political parties in a transparent manner.

Barrister Zafarullah said that a person cannot remain Muslim without believing in finality of the Prophethood.
