UK green party supports Kashmiris, Sikh communities' concerns human rights
Tony Clarke stresses need to protect human rights of Sikhs, Kashmiris and other smaller minority groups in India.
The Green Party has supported Kashmiri and Sikh Diaspora on their key human rights concerns ahead of polls in the United Kingdom on Thursday.
In a statement, party's National Spokesperson on Foreign Affairs Tony Clarke stressed the need to protect the human rights of Sikhs, Kashmiris, Christians and other smaller minority groups in India, all of whom face serious threats.
He said a systematic structure has been designed in India to punish populations who are regarded as enemies.
Tony Clarke said after being elected to Parliament the Green Party MPs will be working in Parliament and with the diaspora communities in the UK to bring pressure for intervention with the Indian Government and to call for recognition of the right of self-determination.
