Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says Pakistan wants to enhance cooperation with Bahrain in all areas of mutual interest, particularly trade, energy and defence.

He was talking to Commander National Guard of Bahrain Lt. Gen. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Isa Bin Al-Khalifa in Islamabad on Wednesday.   

The Prime Minister said peaceful and cooperative relations with neighbouring countries is part of his vision.

He said Pakistan is committed to following a policy of non-interference and non-involvement in the internal affairs of other countries.     

About Yemen situation the Prime Minister said Pakistan condemns the overthrow of legitimate government of President Hadi by Houthis. He called for finding a peaceful resolution of the crisis through dialogue.      

Sheikh Mohamed Bin Isa Bin Al-Khalifa appreciated that Pakistan has always been a sincere friend of Bahrain.
