Pakistan-Azerbaijan agree to promote people to people contacts
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar met with President of Pakistan-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Friendship Group Arstun Javadov along with other members of the parliament of Azerbaijan in Baku.
Ishaq Dar highlighted the important role that parliamentarians play in building close cooperation among nations not only in the political domain but all walks of national life.
The two sides agreed that they needed to promote people to people contacts, enhance present level of cooperation between educational institutions, establish direct air link and encourage businessmen to increase bilateral trade.
They agreed to continue supporting each other on the Nogorno-Karabakh conflict and Jammu & Kashmir dispute at all forums and maintain close contacts between the legislative institutions of the two countries in order to promote bilateral ties in diversified fields particularly trade and commerce and investment areas.
