Punjab Assembly continues debate on budget
Rana Muhammad Arshad says 246 billion rupees have been allocated for health sector.
Punjab Assembly held a general discussion on the various aspects of annual budget for the fiscal year 2017-18.
Addressing the House, Rana Muhammad Arshad termed the budget a people friendly and balanced. He said that an amount of 345 billion rupees has been earmarked for the promotion of education which is 30 percent more than the previous financial year.
He said that the establishment of Danish schools in the backward areas has provided an opportunity to the poor children for getting quality education.
Rana Muhammad Arshad said that 246 billion rupees have been allocated for health sector. He said that 140 billion rupees has been kept for live stock sector. He said that the prices of urea and chemical fertilizer have been decreased.
