PPP, JI agree to protect democracy
Syed Khurshid Shah said he and Siraj-ul-Haq will talk to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and government to protect the system.
Pakistan People's Party and Jamaat-e-Islamic have agreed to make all out efforts to protect democracy in the country.
Consensus to this effect emerged at a meeting between Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah and Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Siraj-ul-Haq in Islamabad today.
Talking to media after the meeting, Syed Khurshid Shah said he and Siraj-ul-Haq will talk to Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf and the government to protect the system.
Siraj-ul-Haq said protest is constitutional right of political parties but it is the responsibility of political leadership to resolve crisis peacefully.
