No plan to devalue the currency: Dar
Finance Minister says budget deficit has been reduced from 8.8 to 8.2 percent
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar says the government has no plan to devalue the currencey.
Addressing a press conferance in Islamabad today, he said presently the country's foreign exchange reserves are fourteen billion dollar.
Ishaq Dar said efforts are being made to improve the taxation system. He said that budjet deficit has been reduced from 8.8 to 8.2 persent.
The Finance Minister said all major international financial institutions are willing to work with Pakistan.
Answering a question, he said that foreign remittances were registred as 15.83 billion dollars with an increase of 7.13 persent.
He said that performance of private secter has improved while four thousand five hundred eighty seven companies were registred in corporate sector.
