Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has said that Imran Khan's demand for the Prime Minister's resignation had exposed the ulterior motives of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf.

In an interview, he said the demand for the resignation of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was unconstitutional and undemocratic.

The Chief Minister said (PML-N) believes in democracy and anyone could protest within democratic limits.

However, he added, the government knew how to handle those threatening to derail the political system and disturb law and order.

He said PTI chief Imran Khan was depriving the people of their basic rights by threatening to overthrow a democratically elected government.
