Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that collaboration of private and public sectors is imperative to meet the demands of healthcare in the country.

She was addressing a ceremony in connection with the World Health Day in Islamabad on Thursday.

She said that private sector is playing a vital role in the health sector in the country. She said that the government has started a number of programmes in the health sector in collaboration with the private sector.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the government has initiated the healthcare program in that is the biggest program in the Asia. She said the program will also help meet malnutrition problem in the under developed areas of the country.

She said that sustainable development is impossible without healthy and educated nation. She said that the media should also play its due role in creating awareness about the health issues among the masses.
