Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif lauds the Chinese support to Pakistan in its fight against terrorism.
He said this while talking to a high level Chinese delegation headed by Chairman of National Committee of Chinese Peoples' Political Consultative Conference Yu Zhengsheng in Islamabad.
Close cooperation between the two Parliaments will contribute towards further strengthening the friendly relations between Pakistan and China.

Pakistan has welcomed the US offer for mediation to resolve the Kashmir dispute. In an interview, Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Zakaria said India had been rejecting mediation on Kashmir by any third country due to its hegemonic designs in the region. United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres had also made a similar mediation offer on Kashmir soon after assuming his office which was hailed by Pakistan. India is perpetrating state terrorism on innocent civilians in Occupied Kashmir.
Pakistan calls for increase in non-permanent seats of UN Security Council instead of permanent members
Addressing Inter-Governmental Negotiations aimed at restructuring the Security Council, Pakistan' permanent representative to the UN Maleeha Lodhi, said adding more permanent members to the world body will not make it more representative, democratic and accountable. Maleeha Lodhi called for expansion of the Security Council in the non-permanent category with possibility of re-election. Representation based on equitable geographic and regional distribution is the crux of Security Council reform.

The chief of Pakistan Army’s media wing, Major General Asif Ghafoor has said that Pakistan attaches value to relations with both Saudi Arabia and Iran, and General (retd) Raheel Sharif’s appointment as head of the Saudi-led military coalition will help remove confusions. Maj Gen Ghafoor, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), was briefing the Pakistani media at the Pakistan High Commission here on General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s official visit to the UK. He was accompanied by Pakistan High Commissioner Syed Ibne Abbas. More than 16 months ago, the Saudi government had approached Pakistan about the Saudi-led alliance while Raheel Sharif was still the Army Chief.

UNSC to Hold Emergency Meeting to Discuss Suspected Chemical Attack in Syria
The UN Security Council is holding an emergency meeting today to discuss suspected chemical weapons attack in Syria's Idlib province that killed seventy two people. The United States, France and Britain have drawn up a draft statement condemning the attack and demanding investigation into the incident.
