Govt plans to make legislation to ensure security of journalists: Marriyum
Information Minister says the government will not tolerate any attack on media.
Minister of State for Information Maryam Aurangzeb says government is working on "Journalist Safety and Security Bill" to ensure security to media persons.
She was addressing a ceremony in Islamabad in connection with Press Martyrs Day on Thursday.
The State Minister said any attack on media is attack on Pakistan and the government will not tolerate it.
She said the media has played vital role in strengthening of democracy in the country.
Marriyum Aurangzeb paid rich tributes to the journalists who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
