Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr. Shireen Mazari has emphasized the need to change of mindset to safeguard the human rights especially the rights of women.

Addressing a Seminar on "Living with Dignity" in Islamabad, she said that it is responsibility of the state to protect the rights of every citizen particularly the rights of women, children and minorities.

The Federal Minister has emphasized the need to rethink approach towards violence against women and urged on their protection with dignity.

She said  Ministry of Human Rights is working with Ministry of Law to develop a systematic structure for provision of probono legal services and assistance to vulnerable especially women.

Federal Minister said the government is working to protect the women's right to inheritance and it will be tabled in the parliament soon.
