Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique has said the economic progress of country is the top most priority of the government and various measures are being taken to achieve the goals.

Talking to newsmen in Lahore on Saturday, he said country is facing various challenges including terrorism, poverty and energy crisis and the government is taking concrete steps to solve these issues.

To a question, Saad Rafiq said the Karachi operation has brought positive results and strict action is being taken against all criminal elements, who used the name of political parties including MQM.

To a question, the Minister said the PML(N) will fight its case regarding NA-122 constituency in the court of public now.

Regarding the relations with India, he said that bilateral relations with that country have been deteriorated during the tenure of Modi Government.

Pakistan is facing border provocations from India. He said that the bad-wishers of Pakistan are the opposing the China Pakistan Economic Corridor Project.

Earlier, addressing the 63rd passing out parade of Railway police in Lahore he said the government is trying to bring further improvement in railways services.
