Pakistan Army has distributed 168,000 food packets among IDPs of North Waziristan Agency.

Sources of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Disaster Management Authority told our Bannu correspondent that the packets include flour, rice, pulses and other necessary items of daily use.

Army doctors are also providing medical facilities to IDPs .

They have treated 113,000 IDPs patients during two and half months.

Meanwhile, the federal government has disbursed the first installment of cash assistance to over 98 percent IDPs families of North Waziristan Agency.

Sources of FATA Disaster Management Authority told our Bannu correspondent that 51637 families have received their cash assistance.

The remaining 920 families will also get their cash assistance after their particulars are verified from NADRA.

Each IDPs family is being given forty thousand rupees by the federal government as cash assistance.
