United Nations has called for boosting assistance for the Rohingyas refugees in Bangladesh .

This was stated by UN Emergency Relief Coordinator Mark Lowcock,and Executive Director of UNICEF Anthony Lake after wrapping up a mission to Cox's Bazar.

They said human tragedy in southern Bangladesh is staggering in its scale and people are in desperate need of immediate help including shelter, food, clean water and sanitation, and healthcare.

According to reports, half a million Rohingya people have crossed the Myanmar border in Bangladesh in the last few weeks.
