NAB arrests three top energy tycoons over corruption
The accused individuals to be produced before accountability court next week.
The National Accountability Bureau has arrested three top energy tycoons for indulging in corrupt practices.
According to a NAB spokesman, Managing Director Private Power and Infrastructure Board N. A. Zuberi and two former CEOs of Lakhra Power Generation Company Limited, were arrested in connection with illegally awarding a contract to a Turkish company for installation of a Rental Power Project in Karachi.
The estimated loss recoverable from these public office holders is about 128.136m dollars.
The accused individuals will be produced before an accountability court next week.
