Theme of the day this year was 'connecting people to nature'.
In his message on the World Environment Day Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan stands committed to collaborate in global efforts to protect the environment.
He said Pakistan has already ratified the ‘Paris Agreement’ in this regard.
He said we have ensured that our industrial, infrastructural and associated developmental initiatives are environment-friendly.
In his message on World Environment Day, Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said the purpose of observing the day is not only to create awareness among the public regarding climate change but also to reiterate the commitment that we will provide our coming generations with a clean and tidy natural environment.
