Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has held a reception in the honor of Pakistani Cricket team and the management of Pakistani Cricket.
According to ISPR, COAS hailed the outstanding performance of the team and said that the team has brought much awaited jubilation for the entire nation by winning ICC Champion Trophy.He asked them to stay humble, continue working hard and be upright as they are the ambassadors of the country.Speaking on the occasion, Chairman PCB Shaharyar Khan thanked Army Chief for his support in bringing back cricket to Pakistan. Chairman Executive Committee PCB Najam Sethi also thanked the Army Chief for all out support for holding PSL final at Lahore.Players of the team also thanked the COAS for honoring them and great contribution and sacrifices of Pakistan Army in war on terror and ongoing efforts for making Pakistan secure.

West Indies and Sri Lanka teams will visit Pakistan: Najam Sethi
Chairman PCB executive committee Najam Sethi says West Indies and Sri Lanka teams will visit Pakistan after the World XI event in September. These are not just promises, actual negotiations are underway and you will see the results soon. Meanwhile, Chairman PCB Shaharyar Khan announces that one day international and T-20 captain Sarfraz Ahmed will also lead the side in the test format. This will be the first time in three years when the men in green will have a single captain for all three formats of the game.
PBCC gets Rs 20 mln to host 2018 BCWC
Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) had received Rs 20 million grant from the Prime Minister to host the Blind Cricket World Cup scheduled to be held in Sharjah and Pakistan from January 10 to 25, 2018. “A total of Rs 50 million is required to host the Blind Cricket World Cup and we have also requested Punjab government and our other sponsors for their support in this regard. As many as eight teams who are World Blind Cricket Ltd full members have been invited to participate in the World Cup. Those teams include Australia, West Indies, South Africa, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal”: PBCC Chairman Syed Sultan Shah

Lahore goes into football history books with the visit of Brazilian football star Ronaldinho and a galaxy of former top notch of the game who will be playing a football match on July 9 at the Fortress stadium. The match is of great significance, being the first ever such high profile football activity to be staged in the provincial capital involving former super stars and top class football players of the country. Brazilian football celebrity Ronaldinho will be accompanied by Brazil’s 2002 World Cup winning teammate, Roberto Carlos, former French mid fielder Robert Pires, France’s Nicolas Anelka, Portugal’s Luis Boa Morte, Holland’s George Boateng, England’s David James and former Manchester United player Ryan Goggs. The two match series with the first game slated on July 8 at Karachi has been named as “Leisure Leagues Pakistan” and the tour has been arranged by World Group led by Mahmood Trunkwala.
