In occupied Kashmir, unrelenting military siege and crippling lockdown imposed by the fascist Modi regime of India on August 5, last year, completed 11 months, today (Sunday).

A report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today (Sunday), revealed that Indian troops martyred 192 Kashmiris including 4 women and injured 1,326 in firing on peaceful demonstrators and mourners during the period.

New Delhi illegally abrogated Article 370 of its constitution on August 5, 2019, to revoke the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

The move, the report added, was aimed at snatching away the identity of the Kashmiris through changing the Muslim-majority status of the occupied territory into a minority.

Thousands of Hurriyat leaders, political and human rights activists, religious heads, journalists, businessmen, lawyers and civil society members continue to languish in Tihar and other jails of India and occupied Kashmir over the past 11 months.

On the other hand, Posters have appeared in Srinagar and adjoining areas to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of prominent Kashmiri mujahid commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani and other martyrs.

Burhan Wani was extra judicially killed by Indian troops in Kukernag area of Islamabad on 8th of July in 2016. The posters were pasted by a youth organization, Muzahmati Youth League.
