Sindh government has chalked out several new schemes for the promotion of culture and tourism in the province and 210 million rupees have been allocated for the purpose. 

According to official sources, new schemes include establishment of Sindh Institute of Music and Performing Arts at Jamshoro, cultural village at Umerkot, Amjad Sabri Institute of Sufi Music and Qawwali in Karachi and establishment of museum and research centre at the archaeological sites of Sanghar and Nawabshah.
