Pakistan envoys conference begins on Tuesday to deliberate upon important foreign policy issues in view of changing geo-political and regional situation
A three-day conference of selected Pakistani envoys begins in Islamabad on Tuesday to discuss important foreign policy matters. The participants will discuss potential strength of the foreign policy and options available in view of the current geo-political and regional situation. Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will chair the concluding session. Earlier, Pakistan strongly responded to the President Trump's statement.
Pakistan summons India's Deputy High Commission over ceasefire violation along LoC, resulting in the shahadat of an 8 years old girl
The Director General South Asia and SAARC Dr. Mohammad Faisal summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner and condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian occupation forces in Chirikot Sector on Saturday. Foreign Office in a statement in Islamabad says despite calls for restraint, India continues to indulge in ceasefire violations. Indian forces have carried out more than 700 ceasefire violations along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary, resulting in the Shahadats of 30 innocent civilians and injuries to 113 this year, as compared to 382 ceasefire violations in 2016. Indian side should permit the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan to play its mandated role as per the UN Security Council resolutions.
Genocide of Muslims in Myanmar: World community must take immediate notice of such brutalities
Nobel laureate and Muslim nations in Asia criticized Myanmar's persecution of its Rohingya Muslim minority and staged angry protests against Aung San Suu Kyi and her government. The Nobel Peace Prize leureate Malala Yousafzai urged Myanmar's leader Aung San Suu Kyi to condemn the violence against the Rohingya minority. Meanwhile, Tens of thousands of people took to the streets in Russia's predominantly Muslim Chechnya to protest what the Chechen leader called "genocide of Muslims" in Myanmar. Indonesian President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has called for an end to violence in Rakhine state. Pakistan's foreign ministry says it is deeply concerned by reports of growing numbers of deaths and the forced displacement of Rohingya Muslims. Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has also expressed deep anguish at the ongoing violence against the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
UN Security Council holds an emergency meeting on North Korea after a powerful nuclear test conducted by Pyongyang
The United States, Britain, France, Japan and South Korea requested the urgent meeting after North Korea detonated a hydrogen bomb designed for a long-range missile. Meanwhile,Pakistan has condemned the reported nuclear test by the North Korea. In a statement in Islamabad, Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria asks all sides to refrain from provocative actions. Pakistan has consistently maintained that North Korea should comply with the United Nations Security Council resolutions.

Four terrorists of outlawed TTP and Daesh killed in encounter with police in Karachi
Four terrorists of banned TTP and Daesh including cousin of Mulah Fazlullah, Commander Khursheed were killed in an encounter with police in Quetta Town in Karachi. According to SSP Malir, Rao Anwaar, Commander Khursheed was involved in wanted for attacks on Pak Army, Malala Yousufzai and Quaidabad Police. Earlier, a police official was martyred and another injured in a clash with terrorists in Karachi. Meanwhile, Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwer Siyal says peace has been restored in Karachi and other parts of the province as result of operation Raddul Fasaad.
International defence industry exhibition begins in Warsaw on Tuesday
A four-day International Defence Industry Exhibition will begin in Polish capital Warsaw on Tuesday. Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain will also attend the exhibition. He has been invited by Minister of National Defence of Poland. The Minister would also meet delegates of different countries on the sidelines of the exhibition.
China terms its victory over settlement of Doklam standoff
A leading Chinese state run news paper "Global Times" says the settlement of the Doklam standoff with India is undoubtedly a victory for China. In a report, the paper says it is a comprehensive demonstration of China's strategy and wisdom of its leadership. India did not achieve its original objective of maintaining the standoff and China is more confident of claiming the result as a victory for its military and diplomatic might.
International Boxer Amir Khan has announced to launch Super Boxing League in Pakistan
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he says professional boxing league is to be held under the World Boxing Council. Eight teams will participate in the League. Women can also participate in the competitions. Pakistan has great talent in boxing and the event will prove beneficial for country’s boxers.
