Govt taking revolutionary steps for GB development: Barjees
Says government is planning to establish a cardiology center in Gilgit and Baltistan University in Skardu.
Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Chaudhry Muhammad Barjees Tahir says the government is taking revolutionary steps for the development of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Talking to APP, Barjees Tahir said that the Federal Government allocated billions of rupees for development and welfare projects like hospitals and universities in the area.
He said that the government is planning to establish a cardiology center in Gilgit and Baltistan University in Skardu.
The minister said that the government will soon announce 30-year forest working plan, timber policy and tourism policy for Gilgit-Baltistan.
Meanwhile, addressing prize distribution ceremony of a Kabaddi tournament in Sheikhupura today, the Minister said terrorism has been controlled to a considerable level as a result of effective government policies and operation Zarb-e-Azb sacrifices of the security forces.
He said the government's writ has been established in FATA and Balochistan, and healthy activities, including sports, are taking place there.
